Following Renaud’s presentation, we will be breaking with Score Reading Club tradition and Los Angeles composer/vocalist Odeya Nini will present some of her own works and insights to her compositional and improvisational practice.
The Score Reading Club is a series featuring influential works by accomplished composers. In each session, presenters offer a look to a musical works of their choice. The works are presented live or recorded and discussed with everyone in attendance, revealing new insights into the works. The Victoria Score Reading Club is presented in collaboration with the Canadian Music Centre. Join us and discover gems you may not know, hear something new, and engage in dialogue about the works. Collectively, we look at the scores, listen to the music, and discuss elements that fascinate us, puzzle us, and touch us in emotional ways. Everyone is welcome to attend.
