House Dream

Artist: David Hoffos

House Dream was David Hoffos' five phase installation.  Bachelor's Bluff, its fifth installment, is currently showing at Open Space.
Like some scene out of the dark corners of David Lynch's bizarre yet inviting images, Scenes From The House Dream: Bachelor's Bluff constructed a sequence of anxiety with a calming force. Hoffos' suggested his piece "reads as an elegy to anxiety, stress and depression" in effect it "signals the quintessential modern condition."

Upon entering Hoffos' self-reflective installation one became enchanted by exposed multi-screen projections which culminated in a three demensional world. This environment was one which called upon separation, loss and memory as its source and which worked to manipulate the seamlessness between viewer and the cinematic image.

Hoffos installation at Open Space developed out of his work during Interactive futures 2007.
