Lorna Jackson

Biography: 

Vancouver-raised Lorna Jackson began her working life as a musician and travelled throughout BC for nine years as a bass player and singer before settling back at the University of Victoria where she received a BA and MA in English. She has taught at UVic since 1994, and in that time has published two collections of short stories, Dressing for Hope and Flirt: The Interviews; a novel, A Game to Play on the Tracks; and the nonfiction book, Cold-cocked: On Hockey. As well, her nonfiction and literary journalism have appeared in BrickQuill and QuireThe Georgia Straight, and Malahat Review, where she serves on the editorial board.
